$2.5 million for Mississauga infrastructure in time for Canada 150

Mississauga:  The City will receive funds through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program (CIP 150), as part of the Government’s activities around the landmark anniversary of Confederation. CIP 150 will benefit community infrastructure like community centres, cultural centres, museums, parks, recreational facilities, trails, libraries and tourism facilities that will help to support economic growth and prosperity. $750K investment into local company creates jobs

Up to 12 new jobs will be created as a result of the Deferal Development Agency for Southern Ontario’s (FedDev) investment into is5 Communications Inc. The local manufacturer of telecommunications products will improve the speed and security of their products with new innovation funded by this investment. The loaned investment will generate an additional $1.5 million of private funds from the Canadian Venture Capital Association and York Angel Investors.
