The City of Mississauga is accepting applications from Mississauga-based arts, culture and community organizations requiring financial support in 2018. It is being billed as the Fight Of the Century, and for people who want to see Saturday’s bout in Las Vegas between boxer Floyd (Money) Mayweather Jr. and mixed martial artist Conor (Notorious) McGregor there will be plenty of establishments in Peel Region showing it. City Of Mississauga Winter Tree Wraps Project Will Be In Two Areas This Year

The fourth annual City Of Mississauga Winter Tree Wraps Project will have a different look to it this year because it will take place in two locations. The median along Hurontario and Burnhamthorpe will feature some of the 52 Pyramidal English Oak trees, but others have been moved a few kilometres west to the median at Burnhamthorpe and Promontory near the Credit River. Peel Police revamping website

Peel Regional Police are looking to make their website more user friendly. To that end, a survey, which ended on August 14, asked for feedback about the existing website in regard to design and layout; ease of navigation; the relevance of page content; the ability to search; and the ease of sharing information to social media. Almost 500 responses were received with well over the 20 needed expressing their interest in participating in a focus group.
