Town of New Tecumseth approves sale of surplus lands

Town of New Tecumseth council recently agreed to pursue the sale of five municipally-owned properties that could fetch upwards of $2 million. Council voted to sell lands at 4 Elizabeth Street, Tupper Street (Alliston), 4213 Sideroad 20 (New Tecumseth), 285 Centre Street North (Beeton) and 5594 Concession Road Three (Adjala-Tosorontio). As well, the town’s real estate brokerage, Coldwell Banker, Ronan Realty, was directed to begin the process to sell the lands. Funding approved for major expansion and improvement projects at Trillium Health Partners

On May 1, the government announced that funding has been approved for Trillium Health Partners (THP) to undergo major redevelopment and expansion at both Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre. The funding falls within Ontario’s $9 billion budget for 2017 to support new hospital projects across the province. “Trillium Health Partners continues to see a steady and unprecedented demand for services as our community grows and changes,” said Wayne Bossert, Chair, THP. All you have to do is ride your bike and log how far you pedalled by September 17 to help achieve the 150,000-kilometre community goal.
