Mississauga is the official host city for the 2018 Ontario 55+ Summer Games, a celebration of active living, taking place August 10-12. With less than six months to go, the city is assembling its volunteer team and taking applications.
Approximately 1,400 participants, 55 years or older, from across Ontario will compete in active and passive activities, including pickleball, cycling, euchre, tennis and more. About 400 volunteers will be needed to fill roles like welcoming participants, assisting in the production of the opening ceremonies, helping run sports competitions and providing information to guests.
To qualify, volunteers must be 16 years of age or older, available from August 10-12 inclusive and available to attend an orientation session in July.
Volunteer applications can be completed online here.
