Former Brampton resident Todd Kyle will become Brampton Library’s new Chief Executive Officer on January 18, 2021.
Kyle brings a decade of public library experience in his current role as CEO of Newmarket Public Library and many affiliations in the library sector, including past president of the Ontario Library Association.
“I’m so excited to be moving to a dynamic, growing, and diverse institution like Brampton Library. I was born in Brampton and raised my young children here, so this is a sort of homecoming for me,” Kyle said. “I look forward to working with the staff, library board, and city council on making the library an even more accessible, connected, and integral part of the Brampton community. More than ever, libraries are crucial to the vision of a smarter, sustainable, and equitable future. I know Brampton Library is ready for the challenges our future holds.”
