As of Sept. 4, children can borrow up to 50 items at a time at any of the city’s seven library branches without incurring any late fees.
“As part of our strategic plan, Brampton Library strives to be a neighbourhood champion and a place for belonging,” says Rebecca Raven, library CEO. “Supporting both and working toward barrier-free access for all, we are pleased to announce the removal of overdue fines on most children’s materials. There has never been a better time to visit a branch, engage with our knowledgeable staff and explore the opportunities of library membership for everyone in your family.”
The no-late-fees policy applies to all children’s books, DVDs and other items. The only exclusions are launch pads and lightning loan items which must be returned within their 7-day lending period to avoid late fees.
