Upon completion of a competitive internal process to find an interim CEO, Jaipaul Massey-Singh, Chair of the Brampton Library Board, has announced that the role will be split into two terms.
Susan Bartoletta, currently Director of Neighbourhood & Branch Services, will serve as Interim CEO in February and March. Then, John Simone, currently Director of Business Management & Operations, will serve as Interim CEO in April and May.
“The hiring committee was overwhelmed by the quality of the candidates they met with and impressed by the strength of Brampton Library’s Senior Management Team overall,” said Massey-Singh. “This is a very exciting solution, as both Bartoletta and Simone have tremendous attributes, ensuring that Brampton Library receives the leadership it needs during this period.”
The decision to announce two Interim CEOs was made by considering what would be best for the organization, its staff, and its customers. By the end of the four-month period it is anticipated that a permanent CEO for Brampton Library will be identified to replace retiring CEO Rebecaa Raven.
