Brampton renovates council chambers

Brampton’s council chambers have been modernized to improve its layout and comfort, enhance accessibility, meet current building code standards, and install new audio-visual equipment.

The new and improved council chambers reopened for the council meeting on March 6.

The renovations included: improving the seating arrangement for councillors and staff, and providing space for future growth; upgrading and increasing public auditorium seating with more comfortable, theatre-style seats; upgrading the audio-visual equipment to improve the city’s capability to live stream meetings; and creating a new accessible entrance ramp and adding accessible seating.

Council chambers is located on the fourth floor of City Hall, at 2 Wellington Street West.
