The world-famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater is a family-oriented blend of unique physical comedy, juggling, and balancing skills, featuring the internationally acclaimed circus star, Gregory Popovich, and the extraordinary talents of more than 30 pets. The housecats, dogs, parrots, geese, doves and other fantastic animals have been rescued from animal shelters across the country.
“I have actually nicknamed my show ‘A Second Chance’ because that is what my cats and dogs have been given, a second chance at life,” says Gregory Popovich, founder of The Comedy Pet Theater and author of You Can Train Your Cat, “The main idea of my show…is to raise awareness in our society about homeless pets.” When asked how he trains dogs and cats for the show, Popovich explains, “Each animal has a special quirky thing they naturally like to do. I figure out what this trick or talent is, and then I just encourage them to do it in my show. When my pets are performing, they are showing off their favourite tricks.” In addition, before each performance, Popovich presents an educational demonstration to children and pet lovers, with his top five training tips, and proper care for dogs and cats.
Throughout the performance, audiences will witness acts such as the ‘Dog Classroom,’ the ‘Amazing Housecats,’ and ‘The Animal Train.’ Other acts in the show include surprise appearances from more animals, including ferrets, white rats, and trained doves. The Popovich Comedy Pet Theater was voted ‘Best Family Show in Las Vegas’ and was a finalist on America’s Got Talent. Families and pet lovers are in for a truly spectacular treat in this fun, one-of-a-kind show.
After each performance, families can meet the furry cast from the show in the Atrium and say ‘Hello’ to Gregory Popovich.
Popovich and his crew perform at the Living Arts on March 13 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
