Commuters living in north Mississauga and south Brampton are getting a new express bus service.
The Derry Rd. express will see non-stop service between Meadowvale Town Centre and Westwood Square in Malton during rush hours between Monday and Friday. The blue-coloured buses will run at 15-minute intervals.
In the morning, heading eastbound from Meadowvale the first bus will leave at 5:20 a.m. and the last leaves at 9:50 a.m. In the afternoon, the buses will run from 2:22 p.m. to 6:28 p.m.
Heading westbound, from Malton, the morning buses run from 5:55 a.m. to 9:33 a.m. In the afternoon, from 2:35 p.m. to 7:09 p.m.
The regular Derry Rd. local bus will continue as usual but with increased service as well.
The city operated MiWay will also increase the service along a number of other routes including those on such streets as Dundas, Glen Erin, Hurontario, and Burnhamthorpe.
