Peel Regional Police is warning the public of an increase in residential break and enters.

As such, they are providing the community with the following safety tips: if you notice anyone suspicious in your neighbourhood, contact police; get to know your neighbours; join a Neighbourhood Watch group; ensure windows and doors are locked on your residence and vehicles; have a friend or neighbour pick-up newspapers, deliveries or mail if you’re going to away for an extended period of time; have exterior and interior lighting on timers; and ensure you have clear sightlines to and from access points into your residence.
