Get into the holiday season in downtown Brampton with the annual Winter Lights Festival presented by Northwest Lexus on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16.
Celebrate the first lighting of the tree in Ken Whillans Square, shop the outdoor holiday market, and enjoy the largest nighttime parade in Canada, Brampton’s Santa Claus Parade, presented by the Rotary Club of Brampton. The lighting celebration takes place Friday, November 15 from 6 to 9 pm
This is Brampton’s official kick-off celebration for the holiday season. At 8 pm, attendees will join a countdown to light over 10,000 Christmas lights on the City’s 60-foot spruce tree in Ken Whillans Square. Visitors can also enjoy free activities, light installations and entertainment all evening long.

Wrapping up the festival is Brampton’s Santa Claus Parade Saturday, November 16 at 5 pm Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the annual Brampton Santa Claus Parade, presented by the Rotary Club of Brampton, is the largest single-day event in the Region of Peel and the largest nighttime parade in Canada! The spectacle of twinkling lights, floats, marching bands, and costumed characters runs south along Main Street from Sproule Drive to Elgin Drive.
