The Daisy Theatre is internationally-acclaimed puppeteer Ronnie Burkett manipulating and voicing a cast of 40 marionette characters in variety acts, impromptu monologues, musical numbers and audience participation. The Living Arts Centre performance will be one of the last times Burkett performs The Daisy Theatre and the absolute last chance for the GTA to experience “some of the funniest, most brilliant theatre you’ll ever be lucky enough to see.” (The Georgia Straight, Vancouver)

The performance is suitable for ages 16 and older.

Audiences and critics alike have fallen in love with the ridiculous, tender, outrageous antics of Daisy Theatre characters. Theatre Scenes (Auckland, New Zealond) says “It’s edgy, sleazy, perverted and at times hilariously horny … a mesmerizing and hysterically funny show that the audience adores in spades.” With the ever-changing content and nightly improv, each performance will be different, daring and on the edge.

Captivated by puppetry since the age of seven and touring since he was only fourteen, Ronnie Burkett is recognized as one of Canada’s foremost theatre artists, creating some of the world’s most elaborate and provocative puppetry. He has received numerous awards in the Canadian and international theatre. Coming in 2019, the Ronnie Burkett Theatre of Marionettes will premiere a new audience-interactive production, Forget Me Not.

The Living Arts Centre presents The Daisy Theatre by Ronnie Burkett in the RBC Theatre from November 20-24. Tickets start at $40 and discounts are available for groups of ten or more. Visit livingartscentre.ca or call the box office at 905-306-6000.
