Genre-bending music acts and cutting-edge spoken word performances will fire up downtown Brampton in #MonsterWorld Mashup, a unique live-concert festival. Seasoned comics will also take the stage, stirring up their own signature stylings of irreverent humour.

Artistic director Vikas Kohli says the June 1 and 2 shows are “focusing on highlighting the local talent that makes our arts spaces so diverse and exciting.” He adds the acts are “high energy, diverse performers” and they are “going to have a lot of fun smashing boundaries with this unique festival.”

The June 1 line up presents a diverse collection of comedians and a ‘surprise concert.’ Slated to perform are Amish Patel, Paul Thompson, Brampton native Chris Robinson, Nitish Sakhuja, Crystal Ferrier and Keesha Brownie. Plus, a secret musical lineup with special guests will be revealed at the show.

Rogers Television personality Randy Persaud, a Peel Region local who supports many events throughout the community, will emcee the June 2 show, a musical ride through international beats.
Toronto-based folk pop artist Angela Saini, Latin hip hop group Los Poetas (pictured) and Haniely Pableo (also known as HANHAN) are scheduled to perform.

#MonsterWorld Mashup’s June 1 show will take place at The Den, located at Sheridan College Davis Campus, 7899 McLaughlin Rd., Brampton. Tickets can be bought online at

The June 2 show will be a free event with Movin’ Cool, Stay Out late, Los Poetas and HANHAN for an outdoor show in Brampton, at Garden Square, 12 Main St. N.
