Don’t feel comfortable meeting in a public place to exchange property bought and/or sold online? Peel Regional Police continue to see an increase in thefts, robberies and frauds that have occurred as a result of online transactions.
Join Constable Michelle Vivian and Constable Donna Watson as they check out a Buy and Sell Safe Exchange Zone at Peel Regional Police’s 11 Division.
There are three reasons why you should attend a Buy and Sell Safe Exchange Zone when making an online purchase. It is a much safer location, you have time to make sure the item you’ve agreed to purchase is the item you received and you have time to make sure the money you received is real currency.
Buy and Sell Safe Exchange Zones have been set up in the parking lots of three different divisions. They are located close to the front door, well-lit and under existing video surveillance.
In order to increase public safety and reduce crime, Peel Regional Police invite the public to use their Buy and Sell Safe Exchange Zones at the following locations: 22 Division, located at 7750 Hurontario Street in the City of Brampton, 12 Division, located at 4600 Dixie Road in the City of Mississauga, and 11 Division, located at 3030 Erin Mills Parkway in the City of Mississauga.
